We MEAN Natural!
Here at Mermaid and Salamander, we think that the word "natural" should actually mean something.

When we read the labels of many so-called "natural" and "healthy" bath products, it's hard not to cringe at the parade of preservatives, synthetic dyes and carcinogenic compounds that make up these petrochemical cocktails. Ingredients such as solvents, preservatives, skin-drying soaps, detergents and "foaming agents" and a host of other potentially irritating and probably harmful substances. Don't make your next bath a Chemical Soup!

Good Enough to Eat
The next time you slip into a bath for a nice long soak, consider for a moment what you are absorbing into your body... If it's a Mermaid and Salamander bath product; rest assured that it consists only of ingredients that are quite literally, good-enough-to-eat. Things like baking soda, arrowroot starch, dry milk, herbs and flowers and their essential oils. If it's not safe and NATURAL (truly!) we don't use it! We also believe that natural bath products have more benefit to the body. All of our testing is done on willing human guinea pigs, not the furry kind.
